Product Safety
At Lillian Vernon, product safety is our highest priority. Therefore, we want to share
with you some of the steps we take to ensure the products we offer comply with applicable laws,
rules, and regulations ("Laws") and are safe for their intended use.
Lillian Vernon regularly tests its children's products through a third-party accredited laboratory
before the products are shipped to our warehouse to ensure that the children's products meet or
exceed all applicable Laws. Children's products are tested according to standards set by
the Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC") including, but not limited to, the standards
established by the CPSC through the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 ("CPSIA"),
American Society for Testing and Materials ("ASTM"), and other state and federal agencies as required and applicable.
When our products are initially developed, we work closely with our vendors to ensure the materials
selected are safe to use for the product's intended use and the product containing such materials
will comply with all applicable Laws. This includes, but is not limited to, meetings standards
for lead content, phthalates, and Bisphenol A (BPA). All products including, but not limited to,
children's products that are regulated by the CPSC and that are shipped to us require a vendor-supplied
Children's Product Certificate or General Certificate of Conformity, depending on the product.
Lillian Vernon takes product safety seriously and we are committed to taking the steps necessary to
produce products that are safe for their intended use and that fully comply with applicable Law.
