I bought this for Halloween for my 3 year old son. He loves dinosaurs & was so excited to wear this. He actually picked the costume out himself online. He wears it around the house just to play. Just as others have said, the costume does run small. The 4-6 fit my 3 year old perfect.

My son used this as a halloween costume, but also had fun pretending to be a pterodactyl. The material was very strong and the costume was well made - I got a size larger than he normally wears and it fit well.

My 3 year old son loved this costume!!!! I didn't see anyone else trick or treating or at his school Halloween parade with the same costume. Very cute and unique design. The only trouble is that it runs very small, luckily I read the reviews before purchasing and I went with a bigger size than my child actually wears and it fit! Love it!!!!

Ok I so wish I had read the reviews before. This is an awesome costume but it runs SUPER SMALL the med. 4-6 will fit a 2 year old. By the time I figured this out it was too late, had to return the too small costume and the larger size was sold out. Had I read the reviews I would have known! [@]

Although this costume was pretty cool and my son loved it, the sizing was way off! My son is 4, almost 5 (and he's a small kid at that) and I ordered a size 4-6 thinking he would easily fit in it and be able to play in it for a while afterward. Unfortunately, this was NOT the case! This costume didn't hardly fit at all. The legs and the sleves were so short that he coudln't even use the wings to wrap on his hands. This sizing should be for those kids 2-4, not 4-6.

The sizing on this costume is 4-6. My child is 5 years old, and not a big 5 year old. But the costume is too small. She has trouble putting the hood on. It pulls up from the bottom. I'm not sure how a child wearing a 6 could fit into this. This is the first time I have been dissappointed with a lillian vernon costume. I definitely would not recommend this for a 5 or 6 year old, maybe a 3-4 year old.

My four year old son picked this costume and when we pulled it out today to put it on him, it is way too small although it is sized 4-6. That would lead one to believe it would fit a taller four year old. It is about four inches short in the legs and arms. I am very disappointed that I now have to try to find him a costume that fits a week before halloween.

This is a GREAT costume! We had to return it to order the next larger size as it ran REALLY small. My 4 year son has put it on everyday to pretend to fly! The quality was a lot better than I expected. Great price too!

Costume is very cute and well made, but we are very disappointed that it runs extremely small. Our son wears a size 5 and this costume fits only to approx 3" below his knee and 2-3" above the wrist. Also it can't be zipped up properly.

Like the other reviewers have said, it fits small - you may want to size up. I have a 4 (almost 5) year old who fits well in a 4T. I initially ordered a 4-6 - it was a tight fit. For a minute I thought he must have had a growth spurt. No such luck, it was sized small. I reordered a 6-8, and it fits much better.

The funny thing is that when I called customer service about returning it, he was not surprised at all, and admitted a problem with the sizing coming from their overseas vendors. It would be nice if they would include sizing suggestions or measurements in the costume description.

You have to buy this costume in a MUCH bigger size than what size your child is currently in. It runs VERY small. My son LOVES the costume, though I am a bit disappointed in the wings. When you see them in the catalog they stick out and look great. I have had to stuff the wings with batting to make them stand out like they are supposed to. It is still a very original design and great costume.

Halloween cost. suppose to be for 4 to 6 years have a 5 year old very average sized child. Costume too small. No time to return it, even if I did have time he loves it already. Forced to make some interesting alterations with little time. Never faced a problem when the age has been in the middle of the size spectrum for a costume before.

This is a great costume!! Seems really well made and it will be nice and warm for halloween in Maine! The only con I can think of is that is runs VERY small (as I've seen others say). Definitely buy a size larger.

This costume is fantastic. It has a great look to is and my son is loving running around in it in preparation for Halloween. The only drawback is that it fits small. My son wears 4T, but the 4-6 size was much too small so we had to exchange it for a larger size.

This costume is alot of fun for creative little minds. My 3 year old son wanted to be a "flying dinosaur" for Halloween and he loves this costume. This will absolutely be the most creative, imaginative, and original costume at the Halloween school parade. This blows the doors off Elmo or Thomas!

My son was thrilled with this costume, although we did have to return the first one do to the sizes running very small. He puts it on and does creative play throughout the day. The only disapointment was that I have had to sew one of the hand tags on the left wing - it fell apart. So the durability is questionable, however I am glad I bought it. It is a joy to see my son get some much pleasure from it. He is really looking forward to Halloween.

We ordered this costume for Halloween but my son is wearing it for dress up fun in the meantime. The features on the head and wings are so realistc and fun. It totally exceeded our expectations when it arrived. I did order the 4-6 size for my 4 year old and wished i had gotten the larger size because it was a little short in the sleeves and getting the hood on was tight. I ended up cutting the lining of the hood and it was all fine.

My 4 year old son loves this costume. I bought it in early September so he could play with it before Halloween, and he loves to play dinosaurs. This costume runs small, so buy the next size up. My 4.5 year old couldn't fit in the 4-6 year old size.

I was surprised at the quality - very good and looks so real on. The fabric is really thick too, so you won't worry about them getting cold. The only thing to note is that you'll need to order up one size.

We had a great time watching his antics. I ordered size 4-6 for a size 4 and the legs are a little short. Good quality and construction. Our Halloweens are usually cold and this will keep him warm.

My child wears a size 4, so when I ordered a size 4-6 in this costume, I thought it would fit a little bit big. But, it is SO small that it would fit a size 3 just right with no room to grow. Design-wise, it is very bright orange. I was expecting more brown and yellow, but it is more green and orange.
