I loved this in the catalog and was slightly disappointed upon arrival. I have had to borrow the hooks from other seasons because they fall out. I have replaced all of the hooks that hold the signs together. I do this though because I love the sign concept. I always get compliments on how it looks, so I stick with it. The design needs to be a little more sturdy to withold being outside.

I was so excited to get this product for my new home. However, upon receiving it I was extremely disappointed. My last name is one word but has a capital letter in the middle of it. Although I was told that it could be personalized with the letter capitalized in the middle, I received the sign with a lower case letter in the middle. I called to have it fixed, and I was sent a new sign with my last name spelled as two words. I called AGAIN and was told my name could not be dne as one word with a capital letter in the middle; it either had to be two words with a capital or one word without. I asked if I could send the sign back and just receive a blank sign so I could write my name on it, but they said no because they already attmepted to fix it once. Now I have a sign with my name spelled incorrectly. I hung it up on my door for about a week, but guests kept commenting on my name being spelled wrong. Now this adorable sign just stays in a box. I used to order frequently from Lillian Vernon, however since this experience I have began ordering items elsewhere.
I love changing the attachments depending on the season or holiday.

I absolutely love this sign! I started out by purchasing one for myself and ended up buying one for each of my friends and family for holidays and anniversaries. Such a cute whimsical touch to anyone's front door!

I bought one for myself and several for gifts. The screws on mine have come out twice--now I'm concerned the same happened with the others. Nice door decoration but not well made; delicate.
This thing is a piece of junk. It blows away the minute a slight wind blows. The hangings are attractive but the hinges are so flimsy it comes off very easily. It’s been a complete waste of my money and effort.

Makes a great gift for someone's home or classroom. I purchased one for my daughter's daycare and use their name on the plaque. The love it! I also have one hanging outside my classroom with my name on it. Great gift idea!

I wanted to find something that I could use year round. I ordered this and was thrilled when I got it. It looks wonderful! My neighbor recently ordered one for her house. I recently gave all my signs and decorations that I previously used before this to my mother for her to use, since I no longer need them. It would be the perfect gift for newlyweds!
I received this sign as a Christmas gift because my friend remembered that I wanted to decorate for the holidays throughout the year. This sign is perfect. Our family name is surprisingly visible from the street (or at least from the sidewalk) and I look forward to changing out the icons each month. I just hung the sandals for summer time. Our sign has held up beautifully, but in fairness, I must admit that we have a glass storm door and covered "porch" that protects our front door, so our sign is never in direct sunlight nor does it ever get wet. I believe that a location such as this is best for this product.

After a few months on my front door, the wood swelled, seperated and fell apart. Should not be used except inside the house where there is no moisture and the plywood glue will not dryout.

To all those who question why there is no Christmas logo plaque- - is because it would not be ordered by those who do not celebrate it- ie my family is a combined Hannukkah/Christmas- so I would not have oredered it- the logos included are more generic for a broder appeal
I love all of the symbols. I will purchase for a friend who saw mine and loved it!

I received this as a gift last year and have enjoyed it! The only cons are not enough seasons to change out - and it does fade in the sun. Also the edges are starting to wear, but I would purchase another at that great price. Cute!

I hung this sign on the front door (with an over-the-door hanger hook) inbetween the actual door and the screen door. It only "blows around" when the screen door is not shut properly. So the screen door protects the sign from the weather but all can see it when they are on the porch. I love things that have the family name on them. It's a cute sign. I think the symbols that came with it are perfect. I like the snowflake for christmas. I believe the best way to describe this item would be simple and sweet.

While I thought the sign was a little small when it first arrived, I am now glad it is not larger. I love all of the seasonal signs, I am still surprised by how many there are.
I bought 2 of these items, one for myself and the other was a Christmas gift for my mother in law. BOTH items broke very soon after they were hung! The screws used are very flimsy. I would NOT recommend this item. It is cute- but not if you can only use it for 1 week before it breaks!
I love my sign! The only thing I don't love about it is the lack of of plaques for the whole year. There isn't one for Christmas or Thanksgiving. [...]

This is a very versatile item that you can use all year long and makes a great housewarming gift. The letters are actually laser carved into the wood, not just painted on like they appear to be in the catalog. This was a nice surprise!
I can't comment on the longevity of the paint/color in the weather because it is hung under a covered porch in behind a storm door.
The one complaint I have and is the reason that I didn't give it the full 5 stars is that it doesn't have a plaque for every month. I wish it had a Christmas or at least winter holiday plaque (like a dove or a poinsettia or something), maybe an apple for September,one more summery looking one, and something more Halloween than just the fall pumpkins. I wanted to give this as a year-long gift to my secret sister and tie one of these to each month's present but it lacks 3 pieces to do that, since the birthday one goes with a month that has a holiday in it. Other than the lack of a plaque per month, I LOVE this item and plan on giving it as a gift to several other people in the future.
It is very pretty and easy to hang and change the holiday plates.

This is just such a lovely sign, and I adore all the hanging accents that can be changed for almost any season, holiday or occasion. I haven't had it long enough to be able to comment on how well it wears, but I don't think I'd feel comfortable putting it out in the weather. It's in my hallway now, and I might move it to the porch when the weather gets nicer. I'm going to buy one for my mother-in-law!
I was very excited to order this personalized gift for myself and for my sister for her b-day. When I received mine in the mail, it was partially painted. I phoned my sister and her sign arrived in the mail the same way. I was very embarrassed! Lillian Vernon easily replaced the items, but my sister's arrived again, partially painted... Making it three in a row, I gave up and we repainted it ourselves...

I ordered these as Christmas gifts for several families. I hoped they would be cute. They far exceeded my expectations. They had a professional look and a homey feel. They can stay up all year long as there are disks for every occasion.I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this purchase.

I Had been looking all over for a remove shoes sign that was stylish and I could use all year round. This looks very good on my front door and the designs for summer winter etc looks great. I will hang the birthday cake one up for my daughters Birthday :)

Great product to have near your doorbell! It's made of fairly thick wood and the letters are actually etched in the wood. The seasonal dangles are very colorful. Not sure how it will withstand the weather. Its underneath an awning to prevent water rot and not under direct sunlight so hopefully it will last a long time.

I bought five sets of these for gifts(one for myself). They are very nice and I would buy it again. The only problem I have had is that the small cup hook holding the "festive symbols" came unscrewed and was lost. This is minor though. We keep ours on the front door.
I love this item. I bought it for my mom about 4 years ago. It was time to get a new one because ours is fading but at [$]it is no big deal. It looks so nice on our froont door.

I do like the product and thought it was well constructed. My only disappointment was that there weren't 12, enough for each month of the year. I would suggest a turkey or cornucopia for November and an umbrella for April since Easter can be in March or April. A gingerbread man or tree or candy cane would be nice for December (non religious items). The birthday cake was a nice bonus!
I recv'd this as a gift last year, and bought one this year as a gift. I will buy more next year. Awesome for the price.

I ordered one for myself and 2 for gifts. They appear to be good quality but I would agree with previous reviewers in that this product should be kept on a covered porch or hung on a door that is protected from the weather. The etching is very nice!
Ordered 2 for gifts - they're really cute. Of note, these signs are small & not intended for identification from the street, they're clearly decorative! In the photo, it looks like the name/address is painted on, but it's also engrained into the wood. I don't think it would weather well in sunlight or rain, but it should be fine on the porch.

Bought this as a gift for my parents. Sturdy construction. Deep engraving will last for years. MUCH nicer than I anticipated. Many more cute decorations than I anticipated. Does not include any religious holiday symbols so it is good for anyone.

This is a fun door decoration especially for the price. I did expect it to be a little larger and a little more bulky. I do like the arrangement of signs for the season and holidays! I wish there was one for Christmas! There is only a snowflake for winter. What do you expect for [$]
I was so surprised when I received this product that I ordered more for Christmas presents, wedding shower presents, and birthday presents. Mine hangs on my back door and looks wonderful. My kids get excited when it is time to hang a new holiday design on it. This one is well worth the money!
I was very impressed with the quality of the sign for the price I paid for it. It is great. I love seeing it displayed on our front door. I have changed the "seasons" three times already! It is a nice personal touch to an otherwise plain door. I plan to buy some as gifts for this holiday season.

I bought one for each family in our extended family. Only disappointement was the winter one is a snowflake...I would have liked to see a Christmas tree or Santa, or Angel.
Received quickly, especially it was personalized.

I ordered this item as a Christmas present for my friend. I received it today and I am very satisfied with the quality.
Hung outside on a garden post. Item didn't last long enough to hang 2 of the ornaments. The hanging screws rusted away and the wood mildewed. I applied a wood protector but the hangers rotted away. The weather here is not severe, it was springtime.
