DO NOT BUY!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!!The shelves are not built and packaged with the proper hardware to hang and support even their own weight. The design is so poor that even with the right hardware there is not enough surface contact to make them sturdy. The brackets on the back actually bent.

Even though these shelves look really cute - DO NOT buy them. We have tried every which way to install them and they are still not up - they are sitting in the closet in the box. We have spent so much extra money on extra hardway and all they did was break the sheetrock on the wall as they pulled away from the wall and fell off. I wanted to hang them above my son's bed; however, I will not take that chance and they will be thrown in the garbage.

I really debated on buying this product after reading all of the horrible reviews on it but I went ahead and took a chance because I thought it would look great in my son's room. Well, I am glad that I took the chance because we were extremely pleased with the product!!! The shelves are very heavy and very sturdy! The hardest part about putting them up was lining them up so they were all vertical of each other but other than that, it wasn't hard at all. I have already displayed my son's trophies and part of his tractor collection on the shelves and they look great-----shelves are STURDY!! We were very pleased with the product!

I agree with the other reviewers, you HAVE to add extra brackets or they slant forward and sort of hang off the wall. You cannot put anything too heavy on them even with the extra brackets....no books for sure! They are more for looks than for function, but I do like the way they look in my son's room!

I love the way the shelves look in my 2 yr olds room, but we did have to buy some L-Brackets to safely mount to the wall so they would not fall down. Once we installed the extra L-Brackets that we bought it will hold about anything! I think that the shelves are a good product for the price and with about [$] extra dollars for additional hardware they are great!!

I bought the product about 18-24 mos.ago,and have been re-screwing,readjusting and just plain having to continually "play" with it to keep it from coming off the wall. Well,it finally got the best of me when one day when the whole shelf came right off the wall! Down came "all the king's horses and all the king's men",and I could not put "humpty-dumpty"(shelf)together again! [...]Don't buy the product,you'll be sorry.

This is a rumbuncious product. It needs to be re evaluated before being sold. I have never encountered a more difficult product to install. Make sure that you send along an installation specialist with the product as it will not stay on my wall.

I purchased these shelves 1 year ago. It took some time to have the installed, however when that time arrived it was very difficult to mount on the wall. My husband had to use additional brackets to hold the shelves on the wall. I was able to place all of my son's books on the shelves without any difficutly once it was completed. I would recommend that the price be reduced even further for the amount of time it would take an average indiviudal to assemble this product. I still feel that it was worth purchasing because it gives a great decor to my child's room. I would recommend to a friend with reservations because they would need to have patience to figure out how to hang this product on the wall.

We purchased these shelves for my son's room, & were excited when we took them out of the box because they looked very cute. However, like the others, we found them difficult to install.[...] We eventually gave up trying to hang the shelves & instead used the sports ball ends of the shelves as wall decorations.

Don't waste your time with these shelves. They took FOREVER to install. After having them for awhile we have had to add additional brackets so the shelves do not fall off of the wall! And we only use the shelves for trophies and lighter items! They looked cute in the catalog, but really really not worth it!

The shelves are very cute, but VERY flimsy. I have had all of the same problems everyone else describes. I'm very disappointed in the quality for the money. And I would like to hear if anyone has been successful in hanging them & how they did it.

Not easy to install and cannot take any good weight, it is a very poorly made product. The idea of the product was good but creation is bad.

The shelves are adorable. However, once the shelves were hung they tilted forward. We carefully placed my son's trophies and sports collectables on them and it looks great but I would not recommend purchasing the shelves if you want to hang them low where a young child might need to access the shelves often. They are not that sturdy.

these are really cute shelves i wanted to put in my son's room. I kept them a couple months b4 installing. They are impossible to install on the wall. they don't adhere to the wall. the shelves are poorly designed and will NOT hang on the wall. In order to get them to hang we are going to have to purchase some sort of additional screws or shelf brackets. and even then it may not work as they are mad out of partical board and not full wood.
I'd like to return them but its too much a pain and the box (to send it back in) falls apart as you open it.

My husband had to use extra supplies to install these shelves, so that we could put books on these shelves. We've had them up for two weeks, and it already appears the shelves are coming away from the walls, due to the weight of the books. For the price, I thought the shelves would've been sturdier.

I was very excited to put these up on my son's wall. They were easy to ensemble and looked very nice. As my husband tried to put them up he found they were too heavy for wall anchors, they kept pulling them out of the wall. Leaving holes we had to fill in. Finally he had to buy long metal anchors to secure them. We still do not put anything heavy on the shelves, just picture frams and stuffed animals.
