Lillian Vernon Corporation is a socially responsible Company and has donated funds and merchandise in support of worthwhile causes to more than 5,000 civic, religious and non-profit organizations.
The Company has partnered with many national charities and have supported these organizations in our catalogs and website. Past recipients of these initiatives have included Literacy Volunteers of America, Toys for Tots, and Ronald McDonald Houses. The Company has partnered with South Hampton Roads Habitat For Humanity, a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Lillian Vernon staff built a house in Chesapeake, Virginia for a family in need, as well as donating a portion of the proceeds from catalog revenues.
History of Charitable Contributions
These are our past contributions in support of worthwhile causes:
- 3,000 ornaments for the Memorial Christmas Trees at the site of the World Trade Center.
- Toys for the children of police and firefighters who perished at the World Trade Center.
- Promotion to benefit rescuers at the World Trade Center.
- Over $250,000 in toys for 145 Ronald McDonald Houses in 48 states.
- Educational supplies to the Reading By 9 Children's Program in Maryland.
- 10,000 toys to the United States Marines Toys For Tots Program.
- Sheets, blankets and quilts for hurricane victims in Florida, Virginia and Honduras.
- Halloween costumes for day care centers and hospitals in Virginia.
- Towels, sheets and blankets for the homeless in New York City.
- Over 7,000 teddy bears for hospitalized children in the New York Metropolitan area.
- Three containers of bedding and linens for the flood victims in North Dakota, Minnesota and Virginia.
- Toys for Lilly's Kids day care centers across the country.
- Promotion to raise funds for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
- A package insert promoting the White House National Youth Anti Drug Campaign
